Our Philosophy

The original Kay-Ben farm housed some of the first registered Holsteins in the state of Maine, and by 1938 held the highest herd average for milk production in Cumberland County. While our methods and techniques advance, our guiding philosophy remains: to improve the structure and integrity of the Holstein breed, increasing longevity and production through intelligent breeding.

But at the end of the day, our goal is to have fun. The shows, the breeding programs, the sale consignments and the long nights chasing the cows in are all part of the life that we know and love.
